| Welcome
to the Kogarah Bay Radio Yacht Club website.
KBRYC was formed in 2001 to take advantage of the fabulous
sailing conditions the bigger boats enjoy on Kogarah Bay in
Sydney's south.
Our members are Associate Members of
Kogarah Bay Sailing Club, we have access to all the club’s amenities and
able store our chase boat and marks within the premises.

Sailing
is on open waters that provide great breezes from almost any
direction, but particularly from the south, north & east.
In summer we use 'B' rigs more often than 'A' rigs but the 'C'
rigs don't just stay in the sail box either. The control
area is elevated, just as it should be for RC sailors, and we
have a 25m jetty and large stable pontoon to make launching
our yachts safe and easy.
KBRYC is
earning a reputation as the premier RC yachting venue in
Sydney, boasting the 3rd largest membership in NSW and the
largest membership fleet of IOM's in Sydney.
The club
has hosted several rounds of the BG Radio Yachts and Sails
IOM GP series in the last few years. I was the venue
of choice for the 2004 NSW Championships, for the four international
classes and also the venue for the 2005 NSW IOM Championships. In January 2005
the MILO ARYA National Championships were held on Kogarah
Bay and set a new record for the number of competitors in
any Australian National Championship. In 2006 & 2007 KBRYC hosted the NSW State Championships for the A Class, 10 Rater
and IOMs.
KBRYC
was the holder of the Interclub Challenge Cup in 2005. This
series is raced between RC clubs in Sydney who sail IOM's.
With a handicap format it gives skippers who would not
normally race in a regatta a great chance to hone their
skills in a more relaxed atmosphere. SMMC have been put
on notice that KBRYC will win back
the trophy from them in 2007.
